Opening Music of Praise:   “He Is Exalted”

Prayers of Confession and Prayers of the People:

–Lift up to God prayers for those who labor for low wages making our clothes around the world.

-Lift up prayers for those who are migrants working for low wages harvesting our food.

-Lift up to God prayers for those employ others or who manage others.

-Lift up to God prayers for those who wish they were laboring but are unemployed.

-Lift all these prayers up to God.

Assurance of Pardon:

Here the good news.  Christ is present with those who are seeking a more just and equitable world.  God with those who toil in the fields so they can provide for their families.  God is with those who are unemployed and underemployed.  And God is with those who toil in the fields who suffer the ravages of weather.  On this Labor Day weekend we remember all who labor and seek to serve.  Today we affirm that it is through the risen Christ that we are forgiven.  AMEN.
