Prayers of Confession and Prayers of the People:

     –Lift up to God prayers for those who are sad due to pain of a loved one.

     -Lift up to God prayers for those who are in joy filled relationships.   

     -Lift up to God prayers for those who are feeling lost and alone.

     -Lift up to God prayers for those who sense new direction in their life.

     -Lift all these prayers up to God.

Assurance of Pardon:

      Here the good news.  We go through life feeling joy at times and sadness at other times.  We can feel lost at times and very much found at other times.  But the gospels teach us that God through Christ is the good shepherd who is with us no matter what we encounter.  We are not alone but the Shepherd gives us comfort and direction.  All we need to do is trust and obey.  When we fail, we can be rest assured that through Christ we are loved and forgiven.  AMEN.
