Prayers of Confession and Prayers of the People:

     –Lift up to God prayers for those remembered on Memorial Day.

     -Lift up to God prayers for those family members of those remembered this day.   

     -Lift up to God prayers for those students finishing classes.

     -Lift up to God prayers for those parents who are figuring out summer plans.

     -Lift all these prayers up to God.

Assurance of Pardon:

      Here the good news.  This weekend we remember those who served in the military and who have now faced death. We thank God for their service and sacrifice.  We pray that we do not merely say we honor them but provide for their families in faithful ways.  We celebrate with students finishing classes and pray that the summer ahead is a time of renewal.  We remember and celebrate that through Jesus Christ we are forgiven and restored.  AMEN.
