“Healing Through the Arts” is an event that advocates the importance of community mental health and suicidal awareness to help adults and high school teens (ages 14-18) heal and cope with life challenges. With the impact that mental health has had on people throughout these recent years, Allison Creek Presbyterian Church–an all-inclusive church– is hosting this event during the month of National Suicide Awareness. This special event is emotional, mental, and spiritual healing through music, poetry, and dance. Poets, dancers, and musicians from local and surrounding areas will perform and utilize their talents in helping attendees participate in group activities to learn how to openly express themselves and be themselves without judgement.
Performers will include:

Angelo Geter, Rock Hill Poet Laureate and author
April Blanding, poet
Erinn “Esheay” Roper & Ja’kiyah, duet dancers
Joe Collins & Wendy Watson, duet musicians
Gem Batten & family, musicians
Price is free but donations are appreciated

Food will be provided through Roman’s Food Truck
